Will is STILL YUMMY

I'm a keep it real I had no idea who will.i.am was before 2008, I had heard about his group BEP but wasn't at all familiar with their music (this is only because i live under a rock).  I had the pleasure of meeting him when I first moved to LA and since than have discovered his amazing music with and outside of his group, I've grown to understand that he is extremely intelligent and truly a musical genius, their is something very sincere about his intentions. comes from a good place.

Karen Walker: Deep Freeze: YUMMY

So like 2 summer's ago I called all over the world (literally, not even kidding) looking for one pair of Karen Walker sunglasses.  They were a translucent pink frame with blue tinted lenses, they were called Deep Freeze.  So I was never able to track those down :-( but I did find a vintage from of the same color and similar style from some dealers in LA.  The lens was clear so I was not totally happy but that summer I was satisfied.  Flash forward to next summer, I'm in Barney's Co-op minding my own business and what do I see.  An actual real life pair of the coveted pink Deep Freeze Karen Walker's.  I don't know if I had moved on or had convinced myself that I would never own a pair but I just stared at them a few minutes and kept it moving.  Didn't want to try them on or even touch them.  Flash forward to this summer at Creatures of Comfort (sidenote, the summer I hunted down the Pink Deep Freeze and settled with the vintage I also bought Karen Walker's Thunder Bolt glasses in a frosty light blue/grey color from CoC) so their I am scanning the store for dresses and accessories, still minding my own business and their it was KAREN WALKER BLACK DEEP FREEZE...I could have fainted right then and there, not because I was still madly in love with this frame but because well you know how it goes "if you love something let it go, if it comes back than its meant to be" yep me and Deep Freeze belong together.  I'm not really into Sex and the City but I do share Carrie's sentiment's on the relationship she has with her shoes and accessories.

Had a rather happy day today. It started with lunch in Little Ethiopia with a really talented artist, that lead to riding out to Venice where I met some new faces, that lead to flipping thru H.P. by Harri Peccinotti and finding inspiration for my new headshot, that lead to a fresh manicure and new gold ring! That lead to making dinner plans with an old friend. Every now and than I pause and have a moment to reflect how blessed my life is because I was born free. Thank you creator.

Cupacakes for Cures YUMMY

Who doesn't like Cupcakes? Right, and recently at the grand opening of my art gallery Papillion Institute Of Art I had tons of them EVERYWHERE!  In this video a bunch of bakers got together to do a fancy awesome wonderful tasty yummy cupcake bake off to raise money for the American Cancer Society.  They were able to raise over $6,000 from there cupcakes!
