A day or two ago I was mentioning to a friend how in college my Black Nationalism was mediocre. I have always been Pro Black and anti nothing! But back to the original point, I was telling this friend that the older I get I find my Black Nationalism coming back and getting stronger and stronger...hmmm I'm still Pro Black and anti nothing. I'm for freedom and righteousness...

What an amazing example to follow, if we all were as faithful, selfless and patient as Mr Mandela it would be a beautiful world. July 18th is international Nelson Mandela Day and his birthday. Here is the real life living breathing revolution. I thank you, Africa thanks you, the world thanks you.
Earlier this month women from all over the world joined together in Monrovia, Liberia to discuss 5 main objectives at the International Colloquium on Women's Empowerment, Leadership, Development, International Peace and Security. March 7-8, 2009 They discussed Empowering Women to be more affective leaders in by linking them with their international peers, To achieve Millennium Goal #3: Promote gender equality and Empower Women, Launch the Angie Brooks International Center on Women's Empowerment, Leadership Development, International Peace and Security in Liberia, Implement UN Security Council Resolution 1325 which calls for broad participation of Women in Peace building and Post conflict reconstruction, Demonstrate clear gender dimensions of climate change, environment protection and sustainable development.
I am so proud to see these things happen. To see these kind of topics being discussed. It is very important for everyone to know that Women are coming together to find solutions to some of the atrocities happening now like War, Destruction of Earth and Natural Resources, Protecting children, ourselves and our families. I am very grateful for the work these women are doing and continue to do. President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia and President Tarja Halonen of Finland hosted the Colloquium.

I have been secretly obsessed with these cats since my girl Choms put me
on. Than I saw them on the cover of Fader and that was it, I was in love.
South Africa is really heating up the social and music scene with groups
like BLK JKS. I've haven't heard a sound like theirs from anyone out now.
And the yummy'st part is that they sound as good as they look.
