We Were Once A Fairytale YUMMY

I have friends who are serious lovers of Spike Jonze.  Some of the things Spike creates are scary spooky and turn off my senses but some of the things he creates are little masterpieces of beauty, its always one or the other with me.  So to my surprise when I saw this video being tweeted I went from one to the other as the course of the short film played to its end.  By the time it had gotten to 4:36 it was entirely to hard for me to keep watching it, I felt embarrassed and sad for him like really really sad (because well I don't think this plot or acting is a stretch for  him at all...real life? maybe?)

But than something happened he had fulfilled all of his carnal desires and all of it had gotten him to a bathroom floor in a club.  And than the real Kanye stood up...watch what he does...and enjoy it.

ALGEE, NABIL YUMMY

So I see this new video for Kanye featuring Kid Cudi and I really really like it.  Than I notice that I have met the director before.  A photographer named Nabil Elderkin.  Last time I saw him we chatted about African documentaries and the Humanist plight happening now in the mother land.  I was really impressed to see what he did with Kanye's song its] beautiful.  But looking at his piece made me think of another friends work, Alan Algee.  Last year Alan did a video for A Race of Angels that is just stunning. I mean no really it is superbly beautiful.  I adore his video. Last time I ran into Alan we were both  grudgingly paying bogus LA parking tickets.  The brother is gifted and humble and extremely talented. Another Amazing is Enrica Marshall, beautiful print maker in Laguna Beach by way of Tanzania. I discovered her at the Folk Art Museum on Museum Mile in Los Angeles.  Her subject matter and stylized techniques give me a total calmness and feeling of safety.  I'm so obsessed with her paintings right now. She reminds me a little of Alex Katz, I just love what they do with colors. Peep the pieces below and enjoy.

LOVE LOCKDOWN IS YUMMY

I'm going to show Yezzy more Love, because that is what we do at Yummy.  And not for nothing, yes I am a huge fan of this man!  This is the cover for his new single.  You gotta respect where this dude comes from, its not just the music it is a whole artistic approach.  Im feeling the whole New York Poets look.  PS a quick note on Jay, I'm really loving his swag on this look, "No one in the building got swagger like us, swagger like us, swagger swagger like us"

Yummy VMA'S

Well as I made my way thru the VMA weekend, (no I didn't watch the show,
just Yeezy's part) I was not super excited about all the Hollywood non
sense. So I go to the Pepsi Bash/Smash whatever to see Keri Hilson perform,
sadly I was disappointed that her voice was not up to par, but she did put
up a good effort amidst those flat notes. The real surprise was Ryan
Lesile, oh my he is amazing, and has good music too. For that Ryan makes
the Yummy list! Kanye makes it because I mean hey, its Kanye...why wouldn't
he make it.
Kanye we love Love Lockdown. And the beating red heart.
